Wear and tear in the built environment, and the pieces – HENRI HALLA-AHO

Brought about by the patina of time, changes and wear signs telling lived life, and proved successful moments. The changes may be an asset, which build upon an object and its user relationship. Disposable culture and discarding other hand, users can be encouraged to see the wear on long-term process, which results in an object to increase its value. The process of being created and the object will change course. To achieve this, the object must endure physically and aesthetically, even several generations. This thesis examines and presents the passage of aesthetic phenomena. The goal is to get the viewer to see the wear phenomena in the immediate environment, and wake up to realize their aesthetic significance.
